Managing ADHD in Edmonton: The Perspective of a Couple of Old Guys Who’ve Been Around Awhile

Dr. Paul Soper, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Dr. Wikman, Registered Psychologist will be speaking at the Parent Support meeting on Wednesday, February 5th at 7 PM. No fee or registration required.

Objectives:
1. Discuss Strategies to access community supports
2. Discuss strategies to access psychological supports
3. Discuss strategies to access good medication management

Presenters:
Dr. Paul Soper, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Dr. Soper works at theTreatment Resistant ADHD Clinic, Glenrose Hospital and is a Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. He is described as “empathetic, caring, extremely well educated and knowledgeable”.

Dr. Erik Wikman, Registered Psychologist
Dr. Wikman specializes in treating a wide range of mental health issues. He has a private practice and also works at the Misericordia Community Hospital in the Behavior Clinic. Dr. Wikman is dedicated to helping individuals overcome their challenges and improve their overall well-being.

First Wednesday of the Month

Children with ADHD are bright, enthusiastic and creative, but parenting a child with ADHD can often be a challenge. This meeting is specifically for parents of children or adolescents with ADHD.  Share your experiences, highs and lows, and coping strategies with others who can relate.  Please note that this meeting isn’t suitable for children.
