The woman’s experience of ADHD is one that is traditionally not been focused on in research and literature, however we are discovering more and more that women are underdiagnosed, and can experience ADHD differently than men. In this presentation, we will be discussing the current research on women and ADHD, some important things to know, and how this can impact our understanding of ourselves.
About Jen
Jen is a Registered Social Worker with experience in various areas in mental health for over 15 years with a special interest in ADHD, trauma and body based therapies. She has worked and volunteered for numerous organizations and since 2015 has been working as a counsellor in addictions, community, most recently for serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces. She is currently working on her Masters of Clinical Social Work, with her thesis focusing on women with ADHD. Jen also completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training diploma in 2019 and loves teaching yoga and mindfulness classes in the community.
